Kings Of Leon bass player Jared Followill has described the band’s forthcoming album as a ‘culmination’ of their five previous studio releases during a chat with his followers on Twitter.

When asked whether the record sounds like ‘rookie’ Kings Of Leon, Jared replied: “Not really. There are definitely elements of it. Songs. Not as a whole though. It’s a culmination of all of them.”

And when later quizzed as to which of the band’s back catalogue it could best be compared with, he revealed: “Vibe/feeling could be compared to the first couple. It’s much more musically complicated though, so I’d have to say the last 2.”

Meanwhile, in an interview with NME earlier this month, the younger Followill had described it as a cross between their excellent debut ‘Youth & Young Manhood‘ and the fuller sounding third LP ‘Because Of The Times‘.

Kings Of Leon offered fans a taste of new material when the track ‘Always The Same‘ was handed its live debut during their gig at the Bottle Rock Music & Arts festival in Napa Valley, California just over a week ago.
