Biffy Clyro are close to making a live return after they were forced to pull a number of shows last month when frontman Simon Neil came down with bronchitis.

“Simon Neil has been struggling with a serious respiratory problem on the shows, including two nights supporting Muse at Madison Square Garden on Monday and Tuesday of this week, and was advised by doctors that he was endangering his long term health if he chose to continue performing on this run,” a statement on the band’s official website read at the time.

A performance at the second leg of this year’s Coachella Festival, as well as a number of other US dates in support of Muse, had to be cancelled due to the illness, but frontman Simon Neil has recently taken to Twitter to tell fans his is well on the road to recovery.

“Hi everyone,” he wrote. “Thank you for the kind words and best wishes. Almost back to full strength. Can’t wait to see you all soon. Simon.x”
