The Royal Festival Hall was an unforgettable moment in time for the band, one of those nights where you can taste the electricity in the air and feel the race of a collective heart beat thudding along to the music. It’s with great pleasure on Record Store Day and with the support of our good friends at Transgressive records that we give you a chance to sit back, kick off your heels and re-live that evening. On 180 gram, gold double vinyl with a gate-fold image, pull-out poster and one-off RFH booklet, this, our 5th record, is the Mystery Jets – Live at the Royal Festival Hall and if you turn it up and close your eyes it might well be like you’re back there.
Doubly important to this occasion is Record Store Day. As a band who’ve grown up listening to vinyls and albums the whole way through, Record Store Day has a particular significance for us, it’s helping keep alive the very thing we first fell in love with as younger people starting out in music. Get yourselves down to an independent record store and take a look at the glut of incredible releases coming out exclusively for Record Store Day. It’s the first time the Jets have released something for this occasion and we find ourselves in very good company, releasing music in a one-off, highly limited fashion for the people who are going to love it and treasure it the most.
