Noel Gallagher has turned down the overtures of Simon Cowell for a second time.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Gallagher confirmed recent tabloid tales that he had been offered a seven figure sum by Cowell to join the X Factor judging panel for a second year running, but resisted as he ‘doesn’t want to be on the telly every Saturday night’.

“Yes I was asked to do it again,” he is quoted as saying. “I think they think that because my tour’s finished I’m going to be bored, but I’m never going to be that bored. Sharon Osbourne gets £1.5 million for it, I’ve heard. If she’s worth one and a half, what am I worth? Three? Three and three quarters?”

“I’ve not got anything against the show, I just don’t want to be on the telly every Saturday night, fuck that,” before joking: “You may be aware, I’ve got a slight case of Tourette’s syndrome and I would just end up saying to Louis Walsh, ‘Will you shut up, you c*nt!'”

Noel Gallagher is expected to take a break from music for the remainder of this year after the completion of touring duties behind his debut solo record ‘Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds‘ and his subsequent work with the Teenage Cancer Trust charity.
