The National have unveiled the details of their new album ‘Trouble Will Find Me‘.

One of the most respected US rock bands follow-up 2010’s sublime ‘High Violet‘ on May 20th, with the record due to be made available digitally, on disc, on 180gram vinyl and in a limited edition deluxe boxed vinyl version.

“For the past ten years we’d been chasing something, wanting to prove something,” frontman Matt Berninger remarks.

“And this chase was about trying to disprove our own insecurities. After touring High Violet, I think we felt like we’d finally gotten there. Now we could relax—not in terms of our own expectations but we didn’t have to prove our identity any longer.”

The National precede their album release with the documentary Mistaken For Strangers, whose premiere is pencilled in for the Tribeca Film Festival on April 17th. The film, directed by Matt Berninger’s younger brother Tom, tells the story of the band’s biggest tour to date.

The group will embark on a world tour to support the LP, beginning at the State Theater in New York on May 20th.
