Palma Violets have pipped Johnny Marr to the top of this week’s UK Record Store Chart with their debut album ‘180‘.

Last week’s number one, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds‘ ‘Push The Sky Away‘, falls to #4, while other new entries in the top 10 this week arrive courtesy of Atoms For Peace, Mogwai, Steven Wilson, Caitlin Rose and Post War Years.

The UK Record Store Chart was launched last year in conjunction with the annual Record Store Day initiative, and is compiled entirely from sales registered at Britain’s independent record shops.
