Paul Weller, Ryan Adams and Blur pair Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon could all be joined onstage by Noel Gallagher later this month at the Teenage Cancer Trust concerts in London.

Gallagher has been discussing his plans with Shortlist, and revealed Paul Weller has already ordered him into a live collaboration.

“Weller’s asked me to get up,” he said. “Actually, I’ll rephrase that: Weller’s told me I’m getting up. To be honest, nearly everybody’s asked me to go on with them. Ryan Adams is mithering for me to get up. I’ve got to introduce every band, every night.”

“And no doubt there’ll be a guitar knocking around, so you never know. And on my night, as well as Damon and Graham, there’s Gruff Rhys from the Super Furry Animals, so hopefully there might be a bit of We Are The World at the end.”

Later, Gallagher also discussed the possibility of a number of smaller acts all appearing together over one night at another London venue in a bid to bring the benefit efforts to a younger audience.

“There’s a whole raft of new bands like Temples and Tame Impala who won’t be able to sell out the Royal Albert Hall,” Gallagher continues.

“So what we’re going to try, in the week leading up to the Albert Hall gigs, is take over a smaller venue, such as the 100 Club and let young bands do a week. Because I think if we bring it to a younger audience, it will be better for the charity in the long run.”
