Jared Followill has told NME that the band’s new album is completed and and is currently being sequenced. He expects the band’s sixth studio effort to be available in September.

The KOL bassist explained : “I thought we were going to make a really mature album but I’m amazed how youthful it sounds. It’s like a mix of ‘Youth & Young Manhood‘ and ‘Because Of The Times‘.”

The US quartet has a busy festival schedule in the UK this summer and will headline this summer’s V festival taking place over the weekend of August 17-18 at Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire.
The group are co headlining the two-day event on the main stage along with pop goddess Beyoncé – the stars only European festival appearance this year.

KOL are then scheduled to play shows in London, Manchester and Birmingham in June and July, staring at London’s O2 Arena on June 12 and 13 before playing Manchester Arena on June 24 and 25. Birmingham’s LG Arena on July 9-10 will be the bands final stop.
