MGMT have joined the 2013 Record Store Day celebrations, and will release the single ‘Alien Days‘ on April 20th.
The track, set to be available on limited edition cassette single and download, features on the duo’s forthcoming third album, which has been recorded in Buffalo, New York and is described by bandmates Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser as ‘even weirder’ than its 2010 predecessor ‘Congratulations‘.
Meanwhile, MGMT have a long period of touring ahead of them, beginning with a show at the Penn State University on April 26th. The full details are as follows:
