Foals, Kraftwerk and Bloc Party have been unveiled as the headliners for this year’s Latitude Festival.

“Latitude is always exciting, because they offer a very tasteful selection of acts,” Yannis Philippakis of Foals has said.

“For our band, it’s an honour to headline alongside someone of the calibre of Kraftwerk – they can do whatever they like. They’re unique, and you know they’re going to put on an incredible show. Bloc Party will be fantastic headliners, too.”

Organiser Melvin Benn made the announcements on BBC 6Music yesterday, and has spoken of his ‘obsession’ with one of the three bill-topppers.

“I’m obsessed with Foals, I don’t think there’s a record out that’s…I just can’t stop playing it, it’s so good,” he said of Foals’ new album ‘Holy Fire‘.

“At Latitude, we’ve always given bands the opportunity to make that first headline performance, and for Foals, they’re ready to step up and I can’t wait for it.”

Latitude will take place over the weekend of July 19th-21st at Henham Park in Suffolk. Bloc Party head the line-up on Friday, with Kraftwerk following on Saturday evening and Foals closing on the Sunday.

Other acts confirmed for the event include Modest Mouse, Alt-J, Beach House, The Maccabees and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
