Kings Of Leon have announced the details of a career-spanning boxset as they continue work on a new album.
‘KOL – Collectors Box‘ comprises the band’s five studio albums to date – ‘Youth and Young Manhood’ (2003), ‘Aha Shake Heartbreak’ (2004), ‘Because of the Times’ (2007), ‘Only By The Night’ (2008) and ‘Come Around Sundown’ (2010) – as well as the live DVD ‘Live at The O2 London’, recorded in 2009.
All will be released May 13th ahead of UK dates at the O2 Arena in London on 12th and 13th June, and at Manchester’s MEN Arena on June 24th and 25th. They also headline V Festival in August.
Bass player Jared Followill offered an album update to BBC 6Music in October last year, revealing: “We are in the writing process right now and it’s coming along pretty quickly,” Jared has told BBC 6Music. “We’ll definitely get into the studio but you know we have no plans of finishing it this year but definitely early next year, so I think people should expect something from us sooner rather than later.”
