The Hop Farm festival has rubber-stamped its return this year in confirming My Bloody Valentine as 2013 headliners.

The event’s future appeared to be in serious doubt after organiser Vince Power’s parent company went into administration last year, but Power has been consistent in his insistence that Hop Farm would be return for 2013, and the details of a scaled back, two-day edition has now been confirmed.

“I am pleased to announce the sixth Hop Farm line up this year, which includes headliners My Bloody Valentine, exclusive to the Hop Farm Festival, off the back of their much awaited new album,” Power comments.

“Plus I’m excited to add international folk legend Rodriguez to the bill this year. ‘Searching for Sugar Man’, has just won an Academy Award and a BAFTA, so this is a very special year to welcome him to the Hop Farm. Last year has been tough for me, as it has been across the board for the festival market. I wanted to keep the festival going, but I’ve had to make changes for it to continue.”

The now two-day schedule is also set to include performances from acts such as Dinosaur Jr, TOY, Tall Ships, Wolf People, Martha Wainwright, The Horrors, Jimmy Cliff, The Cribs, First Aid Kit, Edwyn Collins, Little Comets, Dry The River, Veronica Falls, Gaz Coombes, Temples and Shields over the weekend of 5th-6th July.
