Dave Grohl will bring his Sound City Players to Texas next week for a performance at the South By Southwest Festival, reports Billboard.

The troupe had been strongly linked with an appearance at the event after John Fogerty – who has already been a part of a handful of shows with the Players – quietly announced last month that he would be in Austin at the time of the festival.

And Billboard now reports Grohl and Fogerty – along with Stevie Nicks, Rick Springfield, Corey Taylor, Alain Johannes, Brad Wilk, Lee Ving, and others, plan on performing at Stubb’s on Thursday, March 14th. Reports also suggest priority will be given to cardholders of Citibank who can receive tickets from a special URL after purchasing a Sound City blu-ray with their flexible friends.

Another high profile addition to SXSW is said to be Justin Timberlake, who has ideas for a private party, while local police are also apparently expecting another surprise guest at the annual industry get-together.

Iggy and the Stooges, Kendrick Lamar, Iron & Wine, Devendra Banhart, Tenacious D, Ghostface Killah, Youth Lagoon, Trash Talk and A Place to Bury Strangers are among other recent editions to South By’s long, long line-up.
