After their single ‘Pompeii‘ had an unexpected near miss on the singles chart last week, Bastille are now leading the race for the UK number one album with their debut LP ‘Bad Blood‘.

According to midweek figures, Stereophonics are the closest challengers to top the chart this weekend thanks to their latest studio effort ‘Graffiti On The Train‘, with Emeli Sande‘s big selling ‘Our Version Of Events‘ likely to provide the stiffest competition to the two new releases during the next few days.

Further back, Jake Bugg looks set to comfortably hold on to a place in the Top 20 with his debut solo record, while Atoms For Peace‘s ‘Amok‘ could drop out after one week on the chart.
