The Killers’ Brandon Flowers could release second solo album

The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers has said he would like to work on a second solo album despite the hugely successful return of the band last year.

“I don’t know, I don’t rule anything out,” he said when asked about the possibility of following up his 2010 solo effort ‘Flamingo‘ by Fasterlouder.com.au.

“I loved doing my solo record, I loved touring it and singing those songs. I could see that happening again for sure.”

Flowers also reserved comment for the attitude of current rock bands, and claimed new acts should prove themselves musically before ‘acting like Led Zeppelin‘.

“I think there’s a certain amount of it that’s expected, and people fall into that, and I’m not here to preach, but I think that lifestyle should be earned if they’re going to do it,” he said.

“So many bands are doing it and they haven’t written a chorus yet, or written a hit yet. The Stones and Led Zeppelin, they earned it. So if you’re gonna act like Led Zeppelin, you know, you’d better have the riffs and the choruses to prove it.”
