A series of well received single releases during the second half of 2012 saw the band become the latest in a long-line of new acts to be pronounced as the saviours of rock and roll, and has made ‘180’ one of the most anticipated debut releases of this year.
Palma Violets have also been forging a reputation as a thrilling live proposition – a status which was forged right from their early days in a London base from which the debut album take its name.
That reputation will be put under scrutiny during a short tour of the UK which is due to begin soon after an appearance at the South By Southwest festival next month, and opens at the Lemon Grove venue in Exeter on the 19th, with Cambridge, Sheffield and Middlesbrough also set for visits before a closing show at the Oxford Academy on March 26th.
