Kaiser Chiefs’ Ricky Wilson not happy with Bruce Springsteen Leeds Arena gig

Leeds Arena has landed a massive coup by securing Bruce Springsteen – one of the biggest rock stars in the world and one of the very best live performers – to visit for a very special ‘pre-opening’ gig at the new venue in July.

But Ricky Wilson, frontman of ‘Na, na, na, na/La, la, la, la’ local pop-pickers the Kaiser Chiefs, isn’t at all happy about the news which was confirmed yesterday.

It had been thought the Kaiser Chiefs would perform the arena’s inaugural concert on September 13th, but Elton John has since been confirmed for September 4th, with The Boss preceding both on July 24th, something which Wilson told his Twitter followers has ‘really fucked him off’.

“Really f**cked off with @leeds_arena. They asked us to open the thing then put Elton on the week before and now Bruce,” the Tweet read before apparently being quickly removed.

Tickets for what should be a brilliant opening for the Leeds Arena in July go onsale from this Friday, February 22nd.
