Biffy Clyro have scored their first UK number one album with the new double LP ‘Opposites‘.

The record has knocked last week’s chart topper – the Les Miserables movie soundtrack – down one place, and completes a steady rise to commercial success for the trio over the course of six studio albums.

Elsewhere on the chart, the enduring popularity of Fleetwood Mac‘s ‘Rumours‘ is in evidence again this week, with a reissue of the Seventies classic sitting at #3, while Jake Bugg‘s self-titled debut holds strong at no.6.
