The Rolling Stones seem likely to perform at the Brit Awards next month after being nominated in the British Live Act category.

Reacting to their nomination in The Sun newspaper today (January 11th), frontman Mick Jagger looked back fondly on their gig at the O2 Arena last month – the venue where this year’s Brit Awards will be held – and told fans they will ‘see you soon’.

“We all had such a blast,” he said. “Everyone was at the top of their game and the hometown audiences at The O2 were just fantastic. It’s great to be nominated. We’ll see you soon.”

“Onstage is where we belong,’ Keith Richards has added. “When I’m up there with Mick, Charlie and Ronnie, everything is rocking, so a big thanks to Brit fans and the Brits nom!”

The Rolling Stones will compete with their younger rivals Mumford & Sons, Coldplay, Muse and The Vaccines for the gong.
