Green Day set to resume touring in March

Green Day have cancelled another round of US dates which were originally to begin January, but will now return to the stage in March with a series of rescheduled North American shows. Green Day Tickets

The trio have been on a break from touring duties since last September after frontman Billie Joe Armstrong entered rehab, and have now pulled out of a winter tour which would have begun at the Resch Center in Green Bay on January 7th.

“We want to thank everyone for hanging in with us for the last few months,” the band have said in a press release. “We are very excited to hit the road and see all of you again, though we regret having to cancel more shows.”

If all goes well, Green Day will resume their touring on March 28th in Chicago, with Armstrong offering his thanks on Instagram to friends and family for their support as he prepares to get back out on the live trail with Green Day.

“Dear friends, I just want to thank you all for the love and support you’ve shown for the past few months,” he has said. “Believe me, it hasn’t gone unnoticed and I’m eternally grateful to have such an amazing set of friends and family. I’m getting better everyday. So now, without further ado, the show must go on. We can’t wait to get on the road and live out loud! Our passion has only grown stronger.”
