Fleetwood Mac confirm UK visit for September

Mick Fleetwood has confirmed Fleetwood Mac will be in the UK this September after the completion of a long run of North American tour dates.

The band finally rubber stamped their live comeback late last year, and are set to make a return to the stage at the Columbus Nationwide Arena on April 4th, with gigs running right through until the end of June.

“We’re doing a big world tour that starts in April,” Mick Fleetwood has told BBC 6Music. “We’re coming here in September, October and maybe a bit longer. We’re doing a lot of work here so we are coming.”

Fleetwood Mac had been strongly linked with a headline appearance at Glastonbury for 2013, but with recent additions to their North American tour coinciding with the festival’s weekend schedule, and now Mick Fleetwood revealing they are not due in the UK before September, it seems the group are one act who can be ruled out for Worthy Farm.

Conversely, The Rolling Stones and Mumford & Sons remain strong rumours for bill-topping performances on the Pyramid Stage this June.
