Dave Grohl will promote his Sound City Studios documentary by taking a host of musicians who feature in the new film out on the road from the end of this month.

Playing live under the banner of Dave Grohl’s Sound City Players, the assemble promises ‘core musicians and special guests from the documentary’, and will make its debut on January 18th at Park City Live, an event which forms a part of the Sundance Film Festival.

The documentary’s soundtrack features the likes of Stevie Nicks, Josh Homme, Robert Levon Been and Trent Reznor, while a collaboration between Grohl and his former Nirvana bandmate Krist Novoselic, along with Sir Paul McCartney, was given its live debut towards the end of last year.
