The Specials will continue their topsy-turvy reunion into next year after confirming a May 2013 tour.
Since reuniting without their keyboardist and chief songwriter Jerry Dammers back in 2009, The Specials have experienced mixed emotions regarding their future plans, which have fluctuated from intentions to record a new album to frontman Terry Hall announcing the end of their comeback last year.
However, after guitarist Lynval Golding told BBC 6 Music the reformation would in fact continue with the group deciding they are now ‘in a completely different mood’, the group will head out on a fresh round of live dates next year, beginning at the Glasgow Barrowlands on May 10th.
Shows in cities such as Newcastle, Liverpool and Portsmouth are also due before a stop at the Brixton Academy in London on May 28th brings the tour to a conclusion.
