Suede have announced details of a one-off London concert for March 2013 as they prepare to release a new album next year.
The band will perform the show on Saturday, March 30th 2013 at the Alexandra Palace in London, with tickets going onsale from December 7th.
Suede frontman Brett Anderson recently described the reformed group’s upcoming album as a return to their Nineties sound during an interview with The Quietus.
“Without wishing to be facetious, it sounds like Suede,” he continued. “We’re not trying to reinvent the sound of the band, that’d be a disastrous thing to do. I think that’s possibly where we went wrong on the last two albums.”
“A lot of the writing process for me is throwing stuff away, because you’re finding out what you want to do. There was a lot of that, and we discarded quite a few songs. Early this year we started hitting on the sort of songs that we were aiming to write, and it’s sounding really good now.”
