Neil Young and the Crazy Horse line-up of Frank ‘Poncho’ Sampedro, Billy Talbot and Ralph Molina will play their first UK dates since 2001 when they tour a handful of arenas next year. The gigs are also Young’s first visit to British shores since his acclaimed festival appearances of 2009, which included a mesmeric performance at Glastonbury that spring.

The band have booked four shows on the back of the 2012 albums ‘Americana‘ and ‘Psychedelic Pill’, beginning at the Newcastle Metro Radio Arena on June 10th. They will then move on to the Birmingham LG Arena (11th), the Glasgow S.E.C.C (13th) and finally London’s O2 Arena on June 17th. Tickets are available from 9am tomorrow (Friday, December 14th).

‘Psychedelic Pill’ topped the Record Store Chart at the time of its release in late October after proving popular at independent record shops across the UK.

2013 tour dates:

JUNE
Newcastle Metro Radio Arena (10)
Birmingham LG Arena (11)
Glasgow SECC (13)
London O2 Arena (17)
