Kings Of Leon will join Blur and Queens Of The Stone Age as headliners at next year’s Open’er festival in Poland, it has been confirmed today.

The US band, who are currently working on a new album, will appear on the event’s final night, July 6th 2013, with Blur performing on the 3rd and Queens Of The Stone Age on July 5th.

The festival spot will arrive with Kings Of Leon in the midst of a short UK arena tour, which is set to begin at the London O2 Arena on June 12th.

Despite the troubled end to the touring campaign behind their fifth studio album ‘Come Around Sundown‘, bass player Jared Followill told BBC 6Music in October that work on Kings Of Leon’s latest studio effort is progressing well.

“We are in the writing process right now and it’s coming along pretty quickly,” he explained. “We’ll definitely get into the studio but you know we have no plans of finishing it this year but definitely early next year, so I think people should expect something from us sooner rather than later.”
