Jack White was the guest of Conan O’Brien’s US talk show last night (December 10th) when he aired the blues staple ‘I’m Shakin‘ with his all-female backing band.

The performance can be viewed below.

‘I’m Shakin’ is one of the highlights of Jack White’s debut solo album ‘Blunderbuss‘, and was released as a single in October. The LP has been nominated for the coveted Album Of The Year award at the 2013 Grammys, which will take place on February 10th next year.

“To be clear,” Live4ever’s review reads, “this isn’t the great guitar hero assertion that many hoped or expected it would be. There are definitely moments; the robotic groove at the end of ‘Take Me With You When You Go‘; the dazzling laser lightshow solo on ‘Freedom At 21‘; all of ‘Sixteen Saltines’ – but in the end these moments are mere placeholders for deeper compositions.”

“There are electric organs, fiddles, mandolins, clarinets, and a whole truckload of old-timey piano lines, giving White free reign to shift easily from the airy acoustics of ‘Love Interruption‘ to the gothic opry waltz that carries ‘I Guess I Should Go To Sleep‘.”
