Dave Grohl has opened he door for a Them Crooked Vultures reunion of sorts in the future after telling radio station WCBS-FM he believes it will inevitably happen someday.

Grohl, together with Josh Homme and Led Zeppelin legend John Paul Jones, formed Them Crooked Vultures in 2009 and after a series of live shows released a self-titled album in the November of that year.

“It was one of the highlights of my life when John Paul Jones said, ‘Now I’ve been in two great bands’,” Grohl has reflected. “That was a huge deal for me. We’ve talked about it, I know that someday we’ll get back together and do stuff, because we love playing with each other.”

Foo Fighters might be just beginning what is expected to be a lengthy break, but as ever Dave Grohl is still a busy bee and has been back in the studio with Queens Of The Stone Age recording drums for their new album after the departure of Joey Castillo, while he also shared a stage with Sir Paul McCartney and his former Nirvana bandmate Krist Novoselic at the 12.12.12. benefit concert in New York this week.
