Video: Tame Impala debut ‘Feels Like We Only Go Backwards’

Tame Impala have unveiled the video for ‘Feels Like We Only Go Backwards‘, the latest track to be taken from their sublime 2012 album ‘Lonerism‘.

The typically psychedelic, 70s inspired promo has been directed by Joe Pelling and Becky Sloan, and can be viewed through YouTube below.

Led principally by the hugely talented Kevin Parker, Tame Impala released their second studio album last month, which was described as having a ‘more mellow nature’ than its 2010 predecessor ‘Innerspeaker‘ in Live4ever’s review.

“Whilst it’s far from ambient, in comparison to the debut’s relentless sonic assault, the album explores and embraces more extreme dynamics, appreciates spaces and gaps just as much as it is fond of layer upon layer of sound,” the review continues. “There even appears to be a gentle, simple and straightforward love (or more likely a love lost) pop song present in ‘Feels Like We Only Go Backwards’.”
