The Killers were forced to end their arena gig in Manchester last night (November 13th) after just five songs when frontman Brandon Flowers lost his voice.

The Las Vegas band have been on an extensive tour of the UK during the past few weeks, and are due to wrap up the dates with two shows in London this weekend. However, soon after the unexpected cancellation, the group confirmed a second gig booked in Manchester tonight will not go ahead, but will be rescheduled very soon.

“Manchester, we started something we couldn’t finish and we’re so, so sorry,” they wrote on Facebook. “Working on rescheduling tonight and tomorrow’s shows. Will let you know new dates ASAP.”

“Both Manchester shows (scheduled for the 13th & 14th) have been cancelled,” a Tweet also read. “We will have info about the rescheduled dates very soon.”

The abrupt end to the show brought what had been a momentous day for The Killers to a disappointing conclusion after they earlier officially joined the ranks of stadium rock when confirming the details of an appearance at Wembley in London next June.
