Paul Weller will play three outdoor UK gigs next summer in surroundings which are described as ‘some of the country’s most beautiful settings’.
Weller is to perform the shows over successive weekends in July 2013, with a first date set for Thetford Forest in Suffolk on Friday, July 12th. Gigs at Northampton’s Delapre Park and the Westonbirt Arboretum in Gloucestershire will then follow on July 19th and 20th respectively.
Tickets are priced at £39 and will be available from 9am on Friday 23rd November.
Paul Weller is due to end a year which saw him land another UK number one album next month with the release of a new EP and a one-off benefit concert appearance in London.
The gig will take place on December 19th at the Hammersmith Apollo in aid of the homeless charity Crisis, with Miles Kane also on the bill.
“I’m looking forward to getting on stage for Crisis again – these are really tough times and we need organisations like Crisis now more than ever,” Weller has said of the charity appearance.
Meanwhile the EP, entitled ‘Dragonfly‘, brings together various b-sides and bonus tracks from the past year, and is set for release a couple of days earlier on December 17th.
