Keith Richards ‘can’t see Rolling Stones reunion stopping’

Keith Richards has said The Rolling Stones‘ comeback, which will begin in earnest later this month with two gigs at London’s O2 Arena, could continue indefinitely.

During an interview with The Telegraph, Richards suggested the hardest part of their reunion plans was getting all the members together in the first place, and that once the legendary group is active, he ‘can’t see it stopping’.

“Without saying yes or nay once this starts rolling, I can’t see it stopping,” he has said. “The band feels good about themselves, they still feel they’ve got something to offer. Obviously there are a lot of people out there who agree. We’ll go along with it.”

“This band is famous for not obeying the rules and bowing to pressure or anything,” he continued on the endless calls for the Stones to get out and play live this year as they celebrate their 50th anniversary.

“But over the course of the year we felt more and more aware that there are folks out there counting on us. You can’t let them down. At the same time, you realise that the folks are right. Playing together over the last five months you realise that there’s this thing out of your life that’s been missing.”
