Nick Oliveri, dismissed from Queens Of The Stone Age in 2004 after a series of criminal allegations and erratic behaviour, will guest on the band’s new album according to a post on Mondo Generator‘s Facebook page.

The news on Oliveri’s current group’s Facebook feed reveals the bass player will provide vocals on a new QOTSA track:

“Nick has re-joined Kyuss, and has recently recorded his vocals on a new Queens of the Stone Age song! Stay tuned.”

Queens Of The Stone Age’s sixth LP also sees Dave Grohl returning to the studio with Josh Homme and co. Grohl recently revealed more to the BBC’s Zane Lowe on the progress of the sessions.

“The new Queens of the Stone Age record – I’m playing drums on that, and I’ll do something so completely ridiculous I’ll be just like, ‘There’s no way that that Josh is going to let me do that’, and he’ll say, ‘Do that for 45 seconds, over and over again, that’s become, like, part of the song, that is a big part of the song’, and that’s the way they work,” he said.
