Bob Dylan and Sir Paul McCartney have seen more of their recordings being inducted into the Grammy Hall Of Fame List, which celebrates all genres of music that is at least 25 years old.

The two legendary songwriters already feature prominently on the list, and Bob Dylan’s Sixties youth anthem ‘The Times They Are A-Changing‘, one of the most enduring examples of his sharp social commentary, has now been included, as has Paul McCartney’s ‘Band On The Run‘; a US number one single in 1974.

“With the Grammy Hall Of Fame celebrating 40 years, it’s especially important to note that these entries continue the tradition of inducting a wide variety of recordings that have inspired and influenced both fans and music makers for generations,” a statement from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences reads.

“Memorable for being both culturally and historically significant, we are proud to add them to our growing catalog of outstanding recordings that have become part of our musical, social and cultural history.”

Since being initiated in 1973, many influential tracks and recordings from the likes of The Beatles, Fats Domino, Elvis Presley and many others have been recognised by the Hall Of Fame List.
