The Black Keys have made a new EP available exclusively through iTunes for two weeks from today (October 9th).
The US duo’s latest release contains six songs recorded live in the studio back in December last year. Entitled ‘Tour Rehearsal Tapes‘, the EP features four tracks taken from their most recent album ‘El Camino‘, as well as two from its 2010 predecessor ‘Brother‘.
The Black Keys have recently stated their intention to return to the studio early next year to begin work on the follow-up to ‘El Camino’, and are hoping to once again enlist the considerable talents of producer Danger Mouse.
“We’re going to start making a new album in January and we’re going to tour a little more in the spring,” drummer Patrick Carney recently told CBS Local. “Our plan is to have the new album done by the end of spring or earlier.”
