Former Oasis founder member Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs will release an album with his new band Parlour Flames in February next year.
Bonehead has teamed up with Salford-based songwriter and poet Vinny Peculiar for the group, and described the record to NME as containing ‘a lot of trumpets’ and being ‘psychedelic based art rock’ before adding:
“It’s really quite melodic, it’s accessible, the lyrics are genius I think. There’s tons of influences in there, that’s the beauty of me and Vinny, we sort of brought both our influences in there. We throw them in a pot and they just come out.”
After forming the band which would ultimately become Oasis soon after the recruitment of Liam Gallagher in 1991, Bonehead left the group eight years later during the recording of the band’s fourth studio album ‘Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants‘, handing over rhythm guitar duties to Gem Archer who remained on board until Oasis’ eventual demise in 2009.
