The Joy Formidable have debuted the video for ‘Cholla‘, the first single to be taken from the band’s second album ‘Wolf’s Law‘ which is expected to be released in January 2013.
The track is due for release on October 13th, and offers fans a taste of the eagerly awaited follow-up to 2011′s excellent ‘The Big Roar‘ debut album.
With the band in full festival mode last summer, singer Ritzy Bryan offered NME an update on their new album and writing process, remarking:
“We started the second album ages ago. We write all the time, even when we’re on the road, because we record ourselves, we build collections of songs quite quickly. We have about 15 or 20 already, but lots of other bits too, there’ll be lots to choose from when we eventually sit down and sort it out.”
Soon after, The Joy Formidable released a special digital EP which comprised tracks chosen by fans via an online poll; these included a live version of ‘Whirring‘ and a cover of Roy Orbison‘s ‘It’s Over‘.Just Published:
