Tame Impala have unveiled the official video for ‘Elephant‘ after previewing the new single earlier in the summer. The ‘analog synthesised’ promo, directed by artist Yoshi Sodeokaare, can be viewed below.

‘Elephant’ is the first single to be taken from the Australian band’s impending ‘Lonerism‘ record, and follows the free download release of album track ‘Apocalypse Dreams‘.

The much-anticipated follow-up to the 2010 debut ‘Innerspeaker‘ will be released on October 8th, with a short UK tour beginning later that month (30th) at the Brixton Academy in London. They will then visit the Manchester Ritz and Sheffield Leadmill as the tour moves into November, with a stop at Glasgow’s ABC venue bringing proceedings to a close on the 3rd.

‘Lonerism’ tracklist:

‘Be Above It’
‘Endors Toi’
‘Apocalypse Dreams’
‘Mind Mischief’
‘Music to Walk Home By’
‘Why Won’t They Talk to Me?’
‘Feels Like We Only Go Backwards’
‘Keep on Lying’
‘Elephant’
‘She Just Won’t Believe Me’
‘Nothing That Has Happened So Far Has Been Anything We Could Control’
‘Sun’s Coming Up’
