The Vaccines land first UK number one album

The Vaccines have scored their first UK number one album after beating Two Door Cinema Club to the top spot this week.

The London band outsold their Northern Irish counterparts by around 11,000 copies as their second record ‘The Vaccines Come Of Age‘ climbed to the summit, continuing a run of significant commercial success for the group since the release of their debut LP early last year.

Elsewhere, Of Monsters And Men have retained a place in the Top 10 with ‘My Head Is An Animal‘, and Coldplay‘s ‘Mylo Xyloto‘ is back in the Top 20.
