Bestival organiser Rob Da Bank has said he and the rest of the event’s team have been left ‘devastated’ by last Monday’s (September 10th) coach crash which killed the driver and two people who had been travelling home from the festival.

The coach left the road at an exit on the A3 in Surrey late on Monday evening, killing 63-year-old driver Colin Daulby and 18-year-old Michael Molloy. A third victim has as yet not been identified.

“I just wanted to personally send my condolences and heartfelt sorrow to the families and friends of everyone affected by the coach crash after Bestival,” Rob Da Bank has said of the tragic incident via a statement on Facebook.

“Myself, Josie, John, Ziggy, Ben and the whole Bestival family and production team are devastated that this has happened at the end of what was hopefully a joyous weekend of music and fun for most and leaves a shadow over all of us.”

“Bestival is a festival that thrives on positive music and good vibes so this has been a terrible shock. We’re in constant touch with Surrey Police and are assisting in any way we can.”
