Paul McCartney will soon be able to add France’s prestigious Legion Of Honour medal to his long list of accolades, reports Reuters.
According to the news corporation, Sir Paul will be presented with France’s highest civilian honour this coming Saturday (September 8th) by the French President Francois Hollande. The former Beatles legend will follow in the footsteps of the likes of Clint Eastwood and Liza Minnelli in being presented with the award.
Meanwhile, a performance which was recorded just a few hours after McCartney had received another high profile prize – this time a place on the Hollywood Walk of Fame – is to be released as the live DVD ‘Live Kisses‘. The DVD captures his performance at Capitol Studios in Los Angeles in February this year, a show which arrived on the 48th anniversary of The Beatles’ legendary first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show.
The concert included most of the team who had been involved with the production of Sir Paul’s 2012 ‘Kisses On The Bottom‘ album.
