Muse and the Arctic Monkeys have both landed a handful of nominations for this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards, which will take place at the Festhalle in Frankfurt, Germany on November 11th.
Muse have been nominated in the specialist Best Rock category along side Linkin Park, Green Day, The Killers and Coldplay, while the EMAs will also let us know whether the Devon trio are a better live act than Taylor Swift.
Best Alternative nods are given to Jack White, The Black Keys, the Arctic Monkeys and, more curiously, Florence & The Machine and Lana Del Rey.
In addition, the Arctic Monkeys are up for Best World Stage performance, where they will compete with the likes of Arcade Fire, Kasabian, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Snow Patrol.
