“‘Breathe’, the song, is basically about sex, lets not skip around that fact. The song is written from the viewpoint of the boy, looking for some kind of sign that the girl is enjoying herself as much as he is. So it’s kind of a love song, kind of not, and no matter what guys say, we’ve all been there, we’ve all waited for that second of recognition from that girl that we REALLY liked. So following on from that we really wanted to do a boy/girl story style video, keep it in theme with the song, plus we’ve done the whole band performance video thing, we wanted to try something new. This is what Josh the director came up with.’ – Adam Binder, Kyoto Drive.”

Lost Legion play a mixture of styles which comes across well in live shows. They try and keep the audience entertained with their range and this seems to work pretty well! The main style is Indie/Rock n roll and the songs are mainly written on an acoustic guitar. The songs start life as Crowded House jaunts and end up being rock songs!”

Grey Kingdom, the solo project of former Attack in Black guitarist Spencer Burton, is set to release Light, I’ll Call Your Name Out “Darkness” October 2, 2012 on Dine Alone Records. Grey Kingdom will be performing at the Molson Amphitheatre with City and Colour on September 12. This will be Burton’s second full-length record since adopting the moniker Grey Kingdom in 2010. Since his debut, he has released a series of four digital 7” and two EPs, including The Weeping Suns (March, 2012); recorded with multi-JUNO award winning City and Colour; and toured as a supporting member of the band for the Platinum selling release Bring Me Your Love.”

Cuddly Shark encapsulate a purist “plug in and play” ethos with a touch of ice cold rock’n’roll. Idiosyncratic lyricism and odd anti-melodies combined with foot down pedal-to-the-metal performances. The band consists of two boys and one girl, Colin Reid on guitar and vocals, Jason Sinclair on drums and vocals and Ruth Forsyth on bass guitar. Born and bred in the bonnie Highlands of Scotland the band found themselves magnetically drawn to the rainsoaked musical hotspot that is Glasgow to hone their sound. Things seemed to twitter along very quickly and Cuddly Shark found themselves with a winning debut album met with a host of acclaim from the likes of Rock Sound, Artrocker, BBC Radio 1 (Vic Galloway’s ‘Album of the Month’), and even celebrity endorsement from Kevin McKidd (Grey’s Anatomy, Rome).”

“On his extraordinary new album The Salesman and the Shark, out in the UK on October 8th via Anti-records, Sean Rowe follows up his critically heralded full length debut Magic with a work that brilliantly reconfigures classic sounds in support of his intensely observational lyrics and ever evolving vocals. The Salesman and the Shark was recorded at historic Vox Recording Studios in Los Angeles. It was produced by Woody Jackson, utilising the very same mixing board used to make timeless classics such as The Rolling Stones Exile On Main Street, T-Rex’s Electric Warrior, The Beach Boy’s Smile and seminal works by Tom Waits, Neil Young and more.”

“Hailing from Brooklyn, the four piece band Candidate create music reminiscent to a Dreampop cocktail that’s secretly been spiked with a concuption of hook laden anthems and something a little more intoxicating. Having met through a love of The Smiths and David Bowie, the band (as most young, hungry musicians do) decided to form a band. After spending a few years playing shows around Brooklyn, changing band names, line ups and experiencing the dissolution of love, they made the decision to focus upon writing original material.”

“Beyond the real deal is the unreal deal, and therein lies Feeding People, a band of teenagers making some of the heaviest psychedelic around decades after the 13th Floor Elevators declared their hallucinatory sense of purpose. Feeding People was founded and is headed by nineteen-year-old Jessie Jones, who channels the raw power of Jefferson Airplane’s Grace Slick and Janis Joplin at her most primal as she leads with strong, almost vicious vocals, bellowing blasphemies as if possessed by spirits with a masked sweetness reminiscent of Billie Holiday.”

“The Philadelphia based duo DRGN King is pleased to announce their signing to Bar None Records. Through this new partnership, the band is gearing up for the release of their debut full-length studio album Paragraph Nights in January 2013. Prior to the album, the label will be releasing the band’s debut single “Holy Ghost” on October 23rd as part of a limited edition seven inch featuring the exclusive vinyl b-side “Son of Wolfman”(featuring Philly rapper Peedi Crakk) – both songs will also be available via all Digital Service Providers. The “Holy Ghost” single is also set to impact commercial specialty and college radio that same day.”

Club Smith have released details of their debut album. Appetite for Chivalry channels lyrical responses to grief, disappointment and frustration through a euphoric blend of itchy rhythms and souring choruses. Club Smith began life in 2010; releasing 2 EPs, which saw them, tour with Kaiser Chiefs and more recently Shed Seven, hand picked by the band’s themself. They are also long-listed by AIM as one of the hardest working bands in the country.”

“‘The Flat and Paper Sky Vol. I’, released on October 1st, is Feldspar’s debut release and will be the first of two EPs from this intriguing new band in 2012. ‘The Flat and Paper Sky takes its name from a book of poetry by Edith Sitwell called Façade. The themes in Façade – writing and memory; light and darkness; the influence of the past on the preset; the power of lust; the corruption of society – are the same themes we address in this EP.’ – Lyricist and frontman Will Green.”

“Canadian artist Jeffery Michael Straker is thrilled to release his fifth album Vagabond on Acronym/MDM on October 2, 2012. It is accompanied by a new video for the track ‘Birchbark Canoe,’ a tour in support of the album, and Jeffery’s trademark upbeat engagement with fans on Twitter and Facebook.”

Duologue have announced details of a brand new double-A side single, Underworld/Zeros which is set for release on the 29th October through Killing Moon Records. The double a-side will precede the release of their debut album, expected in 2013. Following the double a-side single release, Duologue will headline The Lexington (London) on Weds 31st October.”
