Video: Bob Dylan premieres ‘Duquesne Whistle’

Bob Dylan has given a full premiere to his new video ‘Duquesne Whistle‘, which is now available on YouTube and can be viewed below.

The track is the first single to be taken from the veteran songwriter’s forthcoming ‘Tempest‘ album, and was directed by Nash Edgerton on the streets of Los Angeles.

‘Tempest’, the 35th studio album of Dylan’s long and influential career, is due for release on September 10th. The LP’s title-track has been the subject of much speculation over recent months, and was confirmed to be based around the story of Titanic, with references to Hollywood actor Leonardo Di Caprio, by Dylan earlier this month when he told Rolling Stone:

“Yeah, Leo. I don’t think the song would be the same without him. People are going to say, ‘Well, it’s not very truthful’. But a songwriter doesn’t care about what’s truthful.”

“What he cares about is what should’ve happened, what could’ve happened. That’s its own kind of truth. It’s like people who read Shakespeare plays, but they never see a Shakespeare play. I think they just use his name.”
