The Cribs‘ guitarist Ryan Jarman will play a first solo show in New York this weekend.

Jarman broke the news with a message to his Twitter followers yesterday (July 31st), and will go it alone at the Cameo Gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on August 4th. “New York, I’m going to play my first solo show THIS SATURDAY with special guests at Cameo @cameogallery in Brooklyn,” he wrote on the social network.

Ryan Jarman’s solo venture arrives soon after The Cribs released their fifth studio album ‘In The Belly Of The Brazen Bull‘. The record marked the Jarman brothers’ return to a three-piece setup following the departure of Smiths legend Johnny Marr, who had been on board with the Yorkshire band for the 2009 LP ‘Ignore The Ignorant‘.

Marr rejoined The Cribs onstage in Manchester back in May, performing the tracks ‘We Share The Same Skies‘ and ‘We Were Aborted‘ during the brief live reunion.
