V Festival has softened the crushing blow of having former N-Dubz curiosity Dappy withdraw from their bill by swiftly confirming The Charlatans in his place.
Dappy was due to grace the 4Music Stage this weekend, but after cancelling for unspecified reasons, the Manchester veterans have now stepped in at short notice.
The 2012 V Festival will take place as usual on the twin sites of Hylands Park in Essex and Staffordshire’s Weston Park on August 18th-19th, with The Stone Roses and The Killers headlining a bill which also includes the likes of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Snow Patrol, the Happy Mondays and Reverend & The Makers.
