The Beatles’ Ringo Starr is ‘richest drummer in the world’

Former Beatle Ringo Starr has been named as ‘the richest drummer in the world’ by celebrity wealth calculation website Celebritynetworth.com.

The new report has Ringo’s net-worth at $300 million (£190 million), a total which puts him comfortably clear of the man in second place – former Genesis sticksman Phil Collins, who has an estimated fortune of $250 million (£158 million). Former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, worth $225 million (£143 million), The EaglesDon Henley ($200 million) and Metallica‘s Lars Ulrich ($175 million) complete the top 5.

Drummers for three of the world’s most successful rock bands immediately follow, with Charlie Watts of The Rolling Stones, U2‘s Larry Mullen Jr. and Queen‘s Roger Taylor at 6th, 7th and 8th respectively.
