Blur performed two intimate London shows for BBC radio yesterday (July 31st), airing the ‘13‘ album track ‘Caramel‘ live for the first time in the process. A video of the 6Music performance is available to watch in the UK below.

The twin shows were recorded live at London’s Maida Vale Studios, with the first airing being on digital station BBC 6Music, before a later performance went out live on BBC Radio 2.

Along with the first play of ‘Caramel’, early b-side ‘Young & Lovely‘ was also given a very rare live outing, while ‘The Puritan‘ and ‘Under The Westway‘ – the new singles written especially for Blur’s headline appearance at Hyde Park later this month – were also played over the course of the gigs.

The British band will now kick-off a low-key tour tonight at the Margate Winter Gardens as they warm up for the Hyde Park concert on August 12th.
