Two Door Cinema Club will play three acoustic gigs in London, Birmingham and Manchester next week to mark the release of their second studio album ‘Beacon‘.
London folksters Dry The River will begin recording a new album before the year is out, the band have told BBC Newsbeat.
Blur bassist Alex James has said he would be interested in working with former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr and legendary US musician Nile Rodgers, who have themselves begun collaborating over recent months.
Seminal favourites by the likes of The Beatles and the Sex Pistols are amongst the tracks picked by BBC Radio 2 to showcase ‘the soundtrack to British culture’ for a new series which will air on the station next year.
The new documentary chronicling The Rolling Stones‘ 50 years together as a band will be entitled Crossfire Hurricane and is to be released to cinemas in October.
