The Beach Boys will release two separate Best Of collections later this year.

Muse have appeared to confirm they will perform their official London Olympics’ anthem ‘Survival‘ live at the Games’ closing ceremony later this month.

The surviving members of The Monkees will head out on a tour of the United States later this year – their first live dates together since the sad passing of singer Davy Jones earlier this year; Jones will be honoured ‘in the show’s multimedia content’ during the tour according to a statement.

Blur brought their short, low-key UK tour to an end in Plymouth last night with a career-spanning setlist that took in numerous firm favourites.

The xx are previewing a second track from their imminent second album ‘Coexist‘ online after a similar unveiling of ‘Angels‘ last month.

Mumford & Sons handed their new single ‘I Will Wait‘ its world premiere last night on UK radio. The track is currently streaming on YouTube and can be heard below.

R.E.M will re-issue their 1987 fifth studio album ‘Document‘ in an expanded form to mark the classic record’s 25th anniversary.
